Stonehenge & Bath Excursion
A Day Trip to Prehistoric and Roman England
DURATION: UP TO 12-HOURS
With one of our licensed Blue Badge Driver-Guides, go back in time to discover the World Heritage Site of Stonehenge – probably the most sophisticated and famous stone circle in the world. The giant stones have been here on Salisbury Plain for over 4000 years. On this 12-hour excursion to Stonehenge from London, uncover some of the mysteries of its ancient history.
Stonehenge has just recently constructed a new world-class visitor centre, housing museum-quality permanent and temporary exhibitions, plus a spacious shop and café, and unlike in previous years, entrance to Stonehenge is now managed through timed tickets and advance booking is the only way to guarantee entry on the day. European Connection includes pre-reserved, timed entrance tickets in the prices below, subject to availability at the time of booking.
The new Visitor's Centre at Stonehenge
At the conclusion of your visit of Stonehenge, continue on to Bath, and visit the 2000-year-old Roman Baths, still filled by gushing hot springs, at a constant 46.5 degrees centigrade. Admire the fifteenth century abbey, and glorious Georgian crescents built in the eighteenth century of mellow stone, sample a Bath bun and the hot water in the Pump Room.
